Rotary Youth Exchange
Marie Pickan was born in Trier, Germany. She is 17 years old. She and her father Karl, mother Birgit and elder sister Lina live in a detached house with a big garden, a spirited but good–natured Australian Shepherd named Bonny, and a nice view of the Mosel River in Trier.
Marie likes sports and is a member of an athletic club. She enjoys swimming and spending time with her family or Bonny and playing the piano.
Marie’s favorite school subjects are sports, fine arts and English. She plans to pass the baccalaureate in order to go to the university afterwards.
"Through the exchange I intend to become more mature, self-reliant and –confident as well as to make friends for life and to get to know a foreign culture."
