At our Wednesday meeting, Kori Ashcraft will present a program on Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), Rotary’s premier leadership development experience for young people. RYLA helps participants strengthen communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership skills while building confidence, friendships, and a commitment to service. Organized by Rotary clubs and districts around the world, these programs provide students and young adults with opportunities to learn from community leaders, inspirational speakers, and peer mentors in an engaging, hands-on environment. Kori will discuss our club’s requirements for selecting and sponsoring participants, share insights from our past experiences with the program, and highlight the lasting impact RYLA has had on students and our community.
Memorial Weekend Flag Delivery
Memorial Day weekend is almost here, and once again our Rotary Club will honor the occasion through our flag program, Flags Across Bryan. John Delaney is coordinating flag delivery efforts, and we are currently in need of volunteers with trucks and trailers to assist with transportation and delivery. We can also use additional volunteers to help place the flags throughout the community. This is a meaningful tradition that reflects our club’s spirit of service and patriotism, and any amount of help is greatly appreciated. If you are available to volunteer, please contact John Delaney at (979) 219-1100 or J_delaney@verizon.net.
Volunteers needed for 2026 District Conference
Volunteers are needed as we prepare to welcome guests from across District 5910 and beyond to Bryan/College Station for the 2026 District Conference on June 5–7, 2026. As host clubs, we are encouraging members from the Aggieland, Bryan, and College Station Rotary Clubs to help make the weekend a success.
Volunteer opportunities are available throughout the weekend, including conference support and decorating shifts. Members are encouraged to sign up for one or more volunteer time slots.
Volunteer Sign-Ups: • 2026 District Conference Volunteer Tasks (June 5–7) • 2026 District Conference Decorating Times (June 5–6)
Please note that an International Soccer Game will be taking place at Kyle Field on Saturday, June 6, so transportation and parking arrangements should be made early. Volunteers working lunch shifts on Friday or Saturday who are not registered for the conference will be provided with a boxed lunch.

The Bryan Rotary Club Flags Across Bryan 2026 flag delivery service aims to blanket our designated route area with American flags on five holidays per year. This service project and fundraiser aims to SERVE the community through funds raised, to HONOR active military, Veterans, First Responders, and Healthcare workers for their selfless service through their vocation, and to EDUCATE students through teacher mini-grants and scholarships.
Our local clubs (Aggieland, Bryan, & College Station) will host and volunteer to welcome members and guests from around our Texas Rotary District to our hometown! You are invited to register to support DG Charley Gilliland and find friendship & fellowship beyond our Club context.
