This week we will hear from Susan Davenport who is the CEO and President of the Brazos Valley Economic Corporation.
The Brazos Valley Economic Development Corporation (BVEDC) is a public-private economic development corporation serving the citizens of Brazos County, Texas. Anchored by the Cities of Bryan and College Station and home to Texas A&M University, the Brazos Valley is a 21st century community that provides access to a highly-educated workforce, a low-cost business environment and a wonderful quality of life. It makes them one of the best places to launch, grow and locate your business.
Health For All is a nonprofit free healthcare clinic that was founded in 1987. Virtually all of the clinic’s funding comes from local donors who live and/or do business in the Brazos Valley, and no state or federal funding is received. They provide free doctor visits, pharmaceuticals, specialist exams, lab tests, X-rays, chronic disease management education and counseling services to low income patients in the Brazos Valley who do not have health insurance and do not qualify for government programs such as Medicaid, Medicare or County Indigent funds.
Their mission is to provide and expand access to free, high-quality, and comprehensive, primary and preventive health care for low-income, medically uninsured individuals in the Brazos Valley.
