Samantha Moore is a Bryan native that has a deep love for her community and has started "The Pink Box of BCS" to help those in need. She wanted to establish that kind of help all throughout the Brazos Valley by creating a blessings box.
She plans to expand by partnering with businesses and neighborhoods to have the box on various streets. Offering canned good items where any resident can take whatever they need. She hopes the blessing box becomes a staple in the community and will come to help everyone.
OnRamp shares God’s grace by gifting reliable vehicles to hard-working people in need to partner with them on the road to self-sufficiency.
They are a 501c3 faith-based non-profit founded in January 2017 for the purpose of helping individuals and families in the Brazos Valley who are in urgent need of reliable transportation. In 2021, our Brazos Valley OnRamp helped launch an affiliate, OnRampDFW, serving the Dallas/Ft Worth area.
They works with advocates from local charitable, government, and religious organizations to identify people in need who are already taking significant steps towards self-sufficiency, but who need a vehicle to continue that journey. OnRamp finds reliable vehicles through purchase or donation and gifts these to our clients so they can get back on the road. We service donated vehicles free of charge for the first year. During that time we connect our clients with a wealth of resources available through partnering organizations. We also help when a client’s transportation needs are best served in alternative ways, such as repairing a broken car or donating Uber cards.
