Coach Trisha Ford
Aggie Softball Season
Trisha Ford is the highly successful head coach of the Texas A&M softball program, widely recognized as one of the premier pitching minds and culture-builders in the sport. Her journey began at Saint Mary’s College (California), where she put together a legendary Hall of Fame playing career as a dominant pitcher and hitter. After starting her head coaching career at her alma mater, she spent nine foundational seasons as an assistant and associate head coach at Stanford, helping guide the Cardinal to consistent postseason success and their first-ever Pac-12 Championship.
As a head coach, Ford has consistently elevated programs into national powerhouses. She captured back-to-back Mountain West Coach of the Year honors at Fresno State before moving to Arizona State, where she was named Pac-12 Coach of the Year twice and won the 2022 conference title. Since taking over Texas A&M for the 2023 season, she has restored the Aggies to elite national relevance. Her tenure in College Station is highlighted by a historic 2025 campaign in which she led Texas A&M to its first-ever SEC Tournament Championship and the NCAA Tournament's No. 1 overall seed. Her elite status in the sport was further solidified when USA Softball selected her to the U.S. Women’s National Team coaching pool for the 2025–2028 Olympic quadrennial.
