Director of Public Programs for the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum

Tracy Paine serves at the Director of Public Programs at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum, which is located on the west campus of Texas A&M. The main mission of the Bush Library and Museum is to preserve and make available the records and artifacts of George H.W. Bush, 41 st President of the United States, but they are also charged with promoting civic literacy, increased historical understanding, and helping to foster a community of public service and volunteerism. One of the ways they do this is by hosting a myriad of free public events that coincide with the museum exhibits, and Tracy has a hand in the vast majority of those events. Her favorite parts of the job include meeting people, sharing the Bushes’ love of Aggieland with the world, and being involved in the B/CS community. Tracy started working at the Bush Library and Museum in 1998 and has been helping with events in some role since they started hosting major community events in 1999, which eventually led to her being promoted to her existing role in 2009. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. Her volunteer service includes former board service in various capacities with the Johnson Elementary PTO, Leadership Brazos Alumni Association, and The Junior League of Bryan-College Station, Inc. Currently she serves as secretary for the Pink Alliance board. Tracy is married to former Rotarian Fred Paine, and they live in Bryan with their son, Luke, and many pets. She’s an avid reader who also enjoys cooking and spending time with friends and family, and volunteering.
