Voice for children BVCASA

Voices for Children, CASA of the Brazos Valley is a non-profit organization founded in 2001 in Bryan, TX. VFC currently serves children in Brazos, Grimes and Burleson Counties. VFC is charged with recruiting, training and supervising CASA volunteers, or Court Appointed Special Advocates. VFC is appointed by district judges as the Guardian ad Litem in CPS cases. Volunteers are assigned as the Guardian ad Litem for each child or sibling group. It is the CASA volunteer's job to visit with the child(ren), visit with the parents, attend meetings involving the CPS case, monitor services such as therapy, academics and medical appointments, as well as report to the court and testify at every court hearing for the case. CASA volunteers are asked to follow each child throughout their time in foster care, until a safe and permanent solution is found and the legal case is closed.
