Kristi K Schiller is founder of K9s4COPs.org, a non-profit based in Houston, Texas. In five years,  K9s4COPS has donated over 140 highly trained K9’s in 33 states and Paris, France! They proudly just placed Texas A & M’s first K9 unit on campus. These dogs just started their careers on campus as school kicked off this month.  These highly trained K9s range in price from an average $10,000-$20,000 each, some of them can run as high as $50K with specialized skills! The handler and his K9 are certified and trained together - this can take 6 to 12 weeks.  This is a cost K9s4COPS absorbs.  K9s4COPs has supplied at no charge to our handlers over 25,000 hours of accredited training for the officers and K9’s throughout the life of their career. K9s4COPs dogs have directly resulted in the confiscation of over $135,000,000 worth of illegal contraband and cash. They currently have over 400 departments with applications submitted for grant approval.
